About Lenia
Lenia is a continuous cellular automaton discovered by Bert Wang-Chak Chan. Unlike Game of Life's binary on/off cells, Lenia uses smooth, continuous values to produce stunningly organic, life-like patterns.
Each cell holds a value from 0.0 to 1.0. A ring-shaped kernel computes neighborhood potential, and a Gaussian growth function determines how cells evolve — creating creatures that move, pulse, split, and self-organize.
